The 17th century English took deliberate actions to suppress the Catholics in America, who spoke Norse. One of the more successful suppression actions was SUPPRESSION by OMISSION.

Suppression by Omission action has created a tricky situation. We have been taught in one of the finest educational systems in the world. You and your teachers do not suspect that the 17th century English omitted stuff.
.
Most people who call themselves “History teachers” will probably object to even discussing such a negative thought. That objection would be a form of suppression by omission.
.
Nearly every one in the last four centuries has been taught the same myth. The myth has become an universally accepted paradigm.
.
A paradigm is a mental model of the world. Once a paradigm is learned, the paradigm is hard to change. Most teachers teach what they were taught. They do not know what they do not know. A myth created by 17th century English becomes a bogus mental model of the past that all people believe.
.
So, because the 17th century English wanted us to believe no one came to North America before Columbus, and because they omitted all solid evidence that there were Catholics that spoke Norse on the shore, then rune stones are called “hoaxes,” “alleged”, or “mysterious. ” very few of the 44 rune stones are shown in the history text books the kids use.

We MUST take deliberate action to educate people about the past that has been omitted. If we do NOTHING, we suppress the true facts.
.
If WE do NOT do something to educate people about rune stones and other evidence of the time before Columbus, we, too, are suppressors.
.
So, to be educators we MUST lay ALL the past “on the table” “early and often” and let the kids decide.

Or we can DO NOTHING and continue to be a SUPPRESSOR.
