NORSE or
NO NORSE?

A prevailing mental model (paradigm) of colonial North America is that the American language either developed from an unknown language or that the people had brought an Asian Language with them over the Bering Strait.

A few authors have proposed that the people of North America were speaking Old Norse when the English invaded.

What is your opinion?

Did Americans speak Old Norse?

Below are pairs
 of links.

One link connects you to positive (yes) evidence.  The other link connects to negative (No) evidence.

Read the information in both links.  Then decide:

“Did Americans speak Norse?”

Put your answer (Yes or No) in the comments section of this post.

I will compile the answers, put the scores into this post, and reset the comments section of the post every evening.

Return to this post to view the progress and to read the information in the next pair of links.
